Our Mission

To collaborate, convene and contribute to improve the health of communities, thru community led research, health equity advocacy, and service.

Vision Statement

Boston residents, adversely impacted by structural factors that determine health, are achieving optimal health outcomes through the collective pursuit of social justice policies and systems change, informed by a self-determined research agenda, so that they experience more affirming and equitable conditions conducive for the well-being of their families and neighborhoods

Systems change is imperative to achieve health equity and social justice. All of CCHERS’ work has a vision towards systems change.

Partnerships

We work with broad partners that include institutions, community leaders, community health centers and others that are
aligned with CCHERS mission.

Community Centered

Maintain a community focus: the work is centered around community residents and CBO leaders who have access to community residents.

Accountability

Involvement of impacted people, listening to those affected and amplifying community voices are core elements of what we do.

Our policy and programmatic emphasis is on thriving, not just surviving.
