Our 2026 Annual Meeting was a success! Approximately 115 people were present, including a wonderful mix of health care professionals, health equity advocates, academic researchers, students and many community residents. Your engagement and support made all the difference!
We successfully launched CCHERS’ Organizing for Health & Wealth advocacy program with a powerful presentation and discussion featuring Heather McGhee on racial solidarity and economic justice. These are cornerstones of CCHERS advocacy work and key elements on the road to health equity. CCHERS aims to offer more education, discussion and organizing around the social determinants of health and wealth.
We are humbled to have successfully launched the Elmer Freeman Economic Justice Advocacy Fund to support this work, raising a total of $9,780. Please consider donating here or by mailing a check to CCHERS at Northeastern University, 360 Huntington Avenue, Suite YMC222, Boston MA 02115.
A special thank you to our caterers, New England Culinary Arts Training, Nav Entertainment and our sponsors for their contributions to making the evening a success!
More program details to come about CCHERS health equity advocacy objectives: asset mapping and raising public awareness of the social determinants of health. We would love to hear your ideas on how we can thrive and prosper together. CCHERS cannot advance this important work without your support and continued engagement.
